इंक़लाब ज़िंदाबाद के सौ साल और हसरत मोहानी के तीन ‘एम’!

बहुत सारे हिंदुस्तानी शायर ऐसे हुए हैं, जिनकी क़लम ने अपनी ताकत पर भारतीयों को अंग्रेज़ों के खिलाफ लड़ने के लिए उत्साहित किया मगर आज हम जिस आजादी के दीवाने की बात कर रहे हैं, वो शायर होने के साथ-साथ एक पत्रकार, राजनीतिज्ञ, स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और साझी विरासत के वाहक भी रहे। “इंक़लाब ज़िंदाबाद” का नारा देने वाले आज़ादी के सच्चे सिपाही मौलाना हसरत मोहानी का नाम आज़ादी के दीवानों के बीच बड़े सम्मान और फख़्र के साथ लिया जाता है।

1 जनवरी 1875 को उन्नाव के मोहान गांव में जन्मे हसरत मोहानी ने 13 मई 1951 को कानपुर में दुनिया को अलविदा कहा था। हसरत मोहानी का पूरा नाम सैय्यद फ़ज़ल-उल-हसन था। ‘हसरत’ तो केवल उपनाम था।

हसरत मोहानी को पढ़ाई का शौक बचपन से ही था। यही कारण था कि उन्होंने राज्यस्तरीय परीक्षा में टॉप किया था। शायरी का शौक रखने वाले मोहानी ने उस्ताद तसलीम लखनवी और नसीम देहलवी से शायरी कहना सीखा था। उर्दू शायरी में हसरत से पहले औरतों को ऊंचा मकाम हासिल नहीं था। आज की शायरी में औरत को जो हमक़दम और  दोस्त के रूप में देखा जाता है वह कहीं न कहीं हसरत मोहानी की कोशिश का नतीजा है।

अपनी गज़लों में उन्होंने रूमानियत के साथ-साथ समाज, इतिहास और सत्ता के बारे में भी काफी कुछ लिखा है। ज़िंदगी की खूबसूरती के साथ-साथ आज़ादी के जज़्बे की जो झलक उनकी गज़लों में मिलती है वो और कहीं नहीं मिलती। उन्हें प्रगतिशील ग़ज़लों का प्रवर्तक कहा जा सकता है। हसरत ने अपना सारा जीवन शायरी करने तथा आज़ादी के आंदोलन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाने में ही बिताया। साहित्य और राजनीति का सुंदर मेल कितना मुश्किल होता है, ऐसा जब जब  ख़्याल आता है, तब खुद-ब-खुद  हसरत पर नज़र जाती है। इनकी मजमुआ-ए-शायरी (कविता संग्रह) ‘कुलियात-ए-हसरत’ के नाम से प्रकाशित है। उनकी लिखी कुछ खास किताबें ‘कुलियात-ए-हसरत’, ‘शरहे कलामे ग़ालिब’, ‘नुकाते सुखन’, ‘मसुशाहदाते ज़िन्दां’ हैं।

मौलाना हसरत मोहानी हिन्दू-मुस्लिम एकता के पक्षधर थे। मौलाना के मुताबिक उनके यहां इस्लाम के बुज़ुर्गों के अलावा जिनका नाम बार-बार आया है वो नाम है “श्रीकृष्ण जी” का।  हसरत मोहानी ने श्रीकृष्ण पर अवधी और उर्दू दोनों में रचनाएं की हैं। आजादी की रवायत के मुताबिक वे अवध की तहजीब के प्रतिनिधि कवि हैं और रसखान के बाद कृष्ण पर फिदा एक अज़ीम शख्सियत।

उनकी शायरी का मिजाज देखिए-

'हसरत' की भी क़ुबूल हो, मथुरा में हाज़री।
सुनते हैं आशिक़ों पे, तुम्हारा करम है आज।।

फिर कहा कि-

मथुरा नगर है आशिक़ी का,
दम भरती है आरज़ू उसी का
हर ज़र्रा सरज़मीन-ए-गोकुल,
वारा है जमाल-ए-दिलबरी का

हसरत मोहानी के तीन एम (M) मशहूर थे। एक मक्का, दूसरा मथुरा, तीसरा मॉस्को। हसरत मोहानी ने मक्का जाकर 12-13 बार हज किया। हर एक जन्माष्टमी और अन्य अवसरों पर वे मथुरा जाते थे। मक्का उनका विश्वास था। मथुरा से उनको मोहब्बत थी। और मॉस्को को राजनीतिक रूप से आवश्यक समझते थे। उनका इस्लाम पर पक्का विश्वास था लेकिन दूसरों के विश्वास और धर्म का आदर हसरत साहब करते थे। तीन एम से उनका हिंदुस्तानी मुसलमानों  को संदेश है कि वे अपने ईमान पर कायम रहते हुए हिंदुस्तान की परंपराओं से जुड़े रह सकते हैं और साथ मे समाजवाद के द्वारा ही मानवता की सेवा कर सकते है।

अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम यूनिवर्सिटी में पढ़ाई के दौरान ही उनमें देशभक्ति का जज़्बा जगा था। 1903 में अलीगढ़ से एक किताब ‘उर्दू-ए-मुअल्ला’ जारी की गयी जो अंग्रेज़ी सरकार की नीतियों के ख़िलाफ़ थी। 1904 में वे भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस में शामिल हो गये और राष्ट्रीय आंदोलन में कूद पड़े। 1905 में उन्होंने बाल गंगाघर तिलक द्वारा चलाये गये स्वदेशी आंदोलन में भी हिस्सा लिया। स्वदेशी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए उन्होंने एक खद्दर भंडार भी खोला जो खूब चला। 1907 में उन्होंने अपनी किताब में ” मिस्र में ब्रितानियों की पॉलिसी” शीर्षक से लेख छापा। जो ब्रिटिश सरकार को बहुत खला और हसरत मोहानी को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया गया। महात्मा गांधी ने उनको महान बताया है और आजादी के आंदोलन में उनकी भागीदारी की अनेक मौके पर तारीफ भी किया। गणेश शंकर विद्यार्थी ने उनकी रिहाई पर खुशी जाहिर करते हुए उन्हें पत्रकारिता जगत का सूरज कहा।

1919 के ख़िलाफ़त आंदोलन में उन्होंने बढ़-चढ़ कर हिस्सा लिया। उनकी पत्नी निशातुन्निसा बेग़म, जो हमेशा परदे में रहती थीं, ने भी अपने पति के साथ आज़ादी की लड़ाई में हमकदम हो जिम्मेदारी निभाई। मौलाना हसरत मोहानी आज़ादी की लड़ाई में इस तरह घुल मिल गये थे कि उनके लिए इस राह में मिलने वाले दुख-दर्द, राहत-खुशी, सब एक जैसे थे। वे हर तरह के हालात में अपने आप को खुश रखना जानते थे। उन्होंने बहुत थोड़ी सी आमदनी से, और  कभी कभी बिना आमदनी के, गुज़ारा किया। उनकी सबसे बड़ी ख़ासियत यह थी कि वे अंजाम की फिक्र किये बिना, जो सच समझते थे कह देते थे। सच की क़ीमत पर वह कोई समझौता नहीं करते थे।

1921 में  “इन्क़लाब ज़िंदाबाद” का नारा गढ़ने वाले हसरत मोहानी ही थे। इस नारे को बाद में भगत सिंह ने अपना कर मोहानी साहब को मशहूर कर दिया। 1921 में कांग्रेस के अहमदाबाद अधिवेशन में उनकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता।

आज भी जब कहीं गैर-बराबरी के और सत्ता के खिलाफ कोई विरोध या आंदोलन चलता है तो “इंक़लाब ज़िन्दाबाद” का नारा उसका खास हिस्सा होता है। हमारे देश की कोई भी सियासी पार्टी या कोई संगठन अपनी मांगों के लिए प्रदर्शन करता है तो इस नारे का इस्तेमाल आन्दोलन में जान फूंक देता है। आज़ादी की लड़ाई के दौरान यह नारा उस लड़ाई की जान हुआ करता था और जब भी, जहां भी, यह नारा बुलन्द होता था आज़ादी के दीवानों में जोश भर देता था।

भारत की आज़ादी में बढ़-चढ़ कर हिस्सा लेने वाले हिन्दुस्तानी रहनुमाओं और मुजाहिदों की फेहरिस्त में मौलाना हसरत मोहानी का नाम सरे फेहरिस्त शामिल है। उन्होंने इंक़लाब ज़िन्दाबाद का नारा देने के अलावा ‘टोटल फ्रीडम’ यानि ‘पूर्ण स्वराज्य’ यानि भारत के लिए पूरी तरह से आज़ादी की मांग की हिमायत की थी। वे बालगंगाधर तिलक और डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर के क़रीबी दोस्त थे। डॉ. भीमराव आंबेडकर को सबसे अधिक सामाजिक सम्मान हसरत मोहानी ही देते थे। यहां तक कि पवित्र रमज़ान में भी बाबासाहब मौलाना के मेहमान होते थे।

1946 में जब भारतीय संविधान सभा का गठन हुआ तो उन्हें उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य से संविधान सभा का महत्वपूर्ण सदस्य चुना गया। संविधान निर्माण के बाद जब इस पर दस्तखत करने की बारी आयी तो उन्होंने यह कहते हुए इनकार कर दिया कि यह मजदूरों और किसानों के हक़ की पूरी रहनुमाई नहीं करता। किसानों और मजदूरों के हित में यह फैसला लेने वाले वे अकेले सदस्य थे।

भारत विभाजन का उन्होंने विरोध किया और अपने भारतीय होने पर नाज़ किया। हिन्दू-मुस्लिम एकता की विरासत को सँजोये इस महान व्यक्तित्व ने 13 मई 1951 को दुनिया को अलविदा कह दिया।

आज हसरत मोहानी मौजूद नहीं हैं पर उनकी विरासत हमारे साथ है। उनकी रवायत को आगे बढ़ाना ही उनके लिए सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि होगी। आइए, आप और हम सब उनके रास्ते पर चलकर हिंदुस्तान की साझी विरासत को सुरक्षित रखें।
